Amazon and medical items

This is addressed to Amazon users in the forum ranks.

A while ago, there was some discussions regarding medical items being rejected by the Colombian Authorities. I often order pills and other Medicare items through Amazon with delivery via Coordinadora. When we asked Coordinadora for clarity, they confirmed the new government were trying to put a stop to the import of such goods, but they knew of no firm legislation and it was ¨touch and go¨ as to whether such elements would make it through the border controls.

I now have a backlog of medicines to order (Items that are not available in Colombia, or vastly cheaper from Amazon if ordered in bulk), but I am wary that a substantial value of such orders will not make their way to my doorstep.

Does anyone have any updates about this situation?
