Entering Colombia

I had about 18 days left for this year in Colombia and decided to come back and spend Christmas here. I also thought since the new year reset they would give me 3 months! But, they said I had to leave the country. I tried everything but to no avail. I can stay until the 5th of January then have to leave. I hope I can come back and the tourist visa is reset. But, I am having doubts now.
