Advice for Coffee Triangle Trip + Medellín Weekend

Hey everyone!

I’m planning a trip to Colombia’s Coffee Triangle from May 24 to May 28 and would love some advice. My idea is to spend the weekend in Medellín first to check out the gay scene, then head to Manizales and Armenia to explore coffee farms, Cocora Valley, and some local highlights.

A few questions for those living in or familiar with the area:

Medellín LGBTQ+ scene – Any recommendations for bars, clubs, or events that weekend? Looking for a fun and welcoming vibe!

Manizales & Armenia – Best coffee farms to visit for an authentic experience? Would love to do a guided tour.

Transportation – What’s the best way to get from Medellín to Manizales and then to Armenia? Renting a car vs. bus options?

General tips – Anything else I should know about visiting these cities? Safety, must-visit spots, or local food recommendations?
