questions about moving and working in Costa Rica w/family

Hello everyone,

To give a little background on myself, I am 31 and I am a Medical Lab Tech in the US Navy. My enlistment is over in less than 2 years. As a possible option, I am considering moving outside of the US a few years after I get out of the military when I get my Masters Degree in Healthcare Management. I will not be receiving any retirements or government benefits other than my GI bill for school. I can earn a fair living as a Lab Tech and the potential to earn 6 figures with my Master's Degree is on the horizon. I am married (my wife is from Cuba) and we have 2 young children (twins about 2 years old).

My question is mainly about earning a living abroad. If I wanted to move abroad and get a job in the medical field, what is the best way to plan this? I would be able to save up money before moving to keep us afloat for the first year or so until we get stabilized, but I would like to know how to do job searches ahead of time. Should I move by myself for a few months to get everything settled before I bring the family? Also, what is the healthcare field in Costa Rica looking like? Are there other Central American countries with better healthcare systems that it might be easier to get a job with?

Any other advise on moving abroad would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thank you all
