Young Family of 4 moving to Costa Rica

I have visited Costa Rica several times in the last 10 years and am 90% ready to go move there. My US company is about to fold because of the government and I'm willing to take a gamble and bring my family of 4 to Costa Rica. We all don't speak Spanish or Portuguese, but were sick of the states.
We love the surf, and the people. We live in Hawaii, so we are already used to being in this type of atmosphere. Fortunately we feel the Pura Vida lifestyle is much more authentic then the Aloha lifestyle. My wife is Vegan and we are all very athletic with an entrepreneur sense of mind.
Soooo. whats stopping me? If I sell my home and bring my savings, I may have 2 million in the bank. I am really worried I may go there and eventually run out of money. I would buy a home for $500g on the west side and then with the rest of the money I would buy a bunch of apartments and hope I can live off of the AirBNB profits? Try to get a job as a realtor? open up a bar, hotel, restaurant? No idea at this point, but I am gonna travel there alone soon with some other friends who are interested and try to get an idea if this is possible. I have been very successful my whole life in everything I do, and I am a healthy 44. My 2 kids would have to go to international schools that would cost me about 2g? cars and living expenses maybe another 2-3g a month?
Hope someone can give me some info on some ideas if this is possible and any ideas on income.
