Couple Considering Relocating in the Fall, Tips and Contacts Welcome!

Hello all! Thanks for all the amazing information you've all put together into this forum already. This is my first post here, but I've really enjoyed being able to read through all the content provided in similar posts. Still, as every situation is unique, I thought I'd say hello and open up a dialogue for any tips or general advice.

My partner and I are both in our 30s and are lucky enough to be able to work anywhere with a reliable internet connection. In my 20s, I spent a couple years living and traveling around Europe and South America, but my partner is newer to international living. After some discussion, we decided to look into Latin American countries as a spot to live while working remotely and otherwise improve our Spanish, and Costa Rica (and its beaches in particular) has really won us over.

We're currently under lease through early Fall, but with most of the US under quarantine right now, it seems like an excellent time to start reaching out and doing the considerable amount of planning and preparation required for a move abroad. As such, I'm mostly looking for any relevant advice, links, or just general networking for the time being.

- We prefer beaches to mountains, but I'm a bit of an extrovert and definitely prefer being around people. A nice mix of expats and locals would be ideal, especially for the opportunity to study/practice Spanish more often. With that in mind, is the Carribean side or Pacific side likely a better fit? Particular towns?

- As we're not looking to move permanently, we'd definitely want to rent while we're there. Particular agencies anyone recommends?

- For travelers not looking to work or buy property, I've generally had good luck just getting a basic 3-month Tourist Visa, and making a point to crossing a border every 90 days to keep it current. Is that a viable strategy in this case?

Thanks everyone!
