Need a place near Quito, Ecuador?

Hello, my name is Robert and I was born and raised in New York. My parents and brothers and sisters where all born in Ecuador. I love Ecuador so much I started a tourism company so I can spend as much time as I can here. This is my opinion, Quito is fun and has plenty to offer, restaurants, cafes, schools, organizations, etc... much of what you would expect a capital city to offer. But with the good, comes the bad, if you walk later on in the evening, it can be a situation. Not that all people something will occur, but the possibility rises. I personally have been in and out of Quito in the evening by myself and with people and nothing has every happened to me. There is crime and delinquents everywhere, rule of thumb is: be around groups of people and dont put yourself in situations you could have avoided by planning better.

Another issue not discussed is the pollution in Quito. The pollution is such an issue that it has surpassed the allowable limits to have clean air to breathe. Many times people will complain of headaches, eye and throat irritation. A person in Quito wanted to recognize how bad the problem is, that they hung a white bed sheet out their apt and in 1 week the white bed sheet was completely black. And that is what you will be breathing in. The air is so bad because there are no emissions control of the cars and now that has attributed to another problem, traffic. But the traffic wont kill you, the emissions will.

I currently live and have an Inn in Tumbaco, about 25 minutes from Quito. Tumbaco is known to having the wealthy upper class people live. It is more expensive to live in Tumbaco then in other parts because of the climate (but still a lot less costly then staying at the Hilton, Swisotel, Marriot or Sheridan Hotels). It is spring-like weather all year around. It is sunny and 75-85 F everyday. The air is super clean and in a cozy suburban neighborhood that is very safe.

I could rent part of this private villa and make it available if you had an interest. Take a look at my website www.mountainviewsinn.com and my email is [email protected] Look foward to helping you if you are interested. My place is fully furnished, with a swimming pool and gameroom. I also am 5 minutes from the Chiche Canyon, a breathtaking place to travel via bike, foot or horse. It is so beautiful here I wouldnt want to be anywhere else. Take a look at my photos in the gallery to get a better idea.

Hope this helps- Robert Bucheli
