There is a really good forum about Ecuador that is under-utilized. It is called "www.ecuadorforums.com".

On that forum, topics are categorized, so that it is easier to find information on particular categories.

I´ve seen some very valuable information on expatexchange.com that will tend to disappear out of view as time goes on and new threads pop up. This info would be better archived in ecuadorforums.com. (Of course the info is welcome here too, but it will tend to get scrolled out). For example, info on where to get medical care in Quito is extremely valuable, and that info should be kept where it is easy to find.

For disclosure, ecuadorforums.com is owned by someone in the real estate industry, so keep in mind that some info posted on that site may be biased or is not totally objective. I have no personal ties to ecuadorforums.com, other than that I have posted there.
