Earthquakes/tremors

Someone recently asked about earthquakes here, and I thought it might be beneficial to tell about tremors in the area in which each of us lives. Actually, since I have been here in Jahuapambama, just a little north of Otavalo, I have felt no tremors. Take it from me, I know what an earth tremor feels like having grown up along the San Andres fault in California. I do know some people in Cotacachi that say they have occassional tremors, but I sure have not felt one here.
Susan, I know you talked about tremors in your area. Can you share how often they occur and how severe they are?
