Small Act--Big Meaning

Susan of the Ocean Hideaway: I have a couple of thoughts that I would like to comment on. There was a post a short while back about Aspartame in diet soda. I personally thought it was an informative and harmless post that was shared by a poster. I posted a few thoughts on it. No big deal! Did that post on diet soda cause you any pain? Did it cause you to lose sleep? Did it hinder or discolor your posts and/or promotion for your Ocean Hideaway Hotel in any way? I think not. Do you own stocks in Aspartame? I think you should have just let it pass and I don't think you should have assumed the position of "forum police" to ask administration to remove it. .....a bit small-minded on your part, don't you think? You get more friends (and business, which you seem to be very concerned about!) by being 'kind' and not 'contrary' to people. Why did you even bother? If you don't like the subject of the post, you should just learn to 'let it go' and pass on by !!! It left a 'bad taste'--sort of like that metallic taste that you get when you drink one of those sodas--in my mouth! You know, at first I thought you were kidding!--you have that sort of wry way of commenting--but to my surprise--you weren't kidding! You gave alot of folks an insight into your personality! No one wants to send their thoughts and comments if they think there is someone just waiting to critique and judge the content of their comment--as to whether it can be posted legally or not. I am not referring to hateful/ugly/insulting posts either. Someone wanted to know about Chilean wine--well, why bother posting only to have it 'ordered' off because perhaps it's not about Ecuadorian wine. Ah--but you say, it is sold here! Well, "diet" sodas with poison aspartame are sold here too! You can get "sick" from it in Ecuador as well as other places! Where do we draw the line? I always thought that among friends, no lines have to be drawn! I guess we will just have to call you "Sargeant Susan of the Forum Police Force" now! ha, ha!
