Not sure about discounted flights, but bus fares are discounted for "tercera edad" (seniors). For example, the bus ride into Salinas from Guayaquil is 1/2 price for seniors. 65 is the "tercera edad" age here. Seniors are also eligible to receive a portion of the IVA tax back, provided you have a cedula and fill out the appropriate forms.
