Would love your input...an acquaintance just got back from a trip to Peru and Ecuador.
She is raving about Peru - but her comments about Ecuador were surprising to me.
She flew into Quito - her experience was that people were not helpful - in fact bordering on unfriendly. She related seeing lots of "angry" graffiti there. Went to Otovolo (sp?) and had some of the same experience. She is wondering if there is resentment toward Americans.
The trip was so unsatisfactory that she left over a week early.
This is a well-traveled woman who is easy to be with and out-going.
I don't have my own experience with Ecuador yet - so wondering about this.
