How is the life in Cotacachi ?

Hi everyone !

I just booked my flight to Quito some days ago, and I'll be in Ecuador from Feb 10th to March 3rd with a friend. We're planning to come and visit Cotacachi, Cuenca and Vilcabamba in order to know if we would like to settle for a while in one of these cities. Even if I'm not fluent in English (I speak French usually) I subscribed some days ago to this forum and I really like to read your posts giving details about the life as an expat.
Do you think that it would be a good choice to live in one of these 3 cities ? Cotacachi seems to be a very inexpensive place to live ; is it true ? What could we do in Cotacachi ? Is there any yoga classes ? Movie theater ? I know that in Cuenca there's a lot of cultural events, and would like to know more about the life in Cotacachi.
