I came, I bought, and I went...

Just bought a gorgeous homesite in Ecuador and now am busy figuring out the logistics of the move. Things like to ship or not to ship are now at the forefront of my mind. We are leaning toward shipping a container, but am open to other suggestions?

I'm excited for our adventure to begin and am still deciding on whether to come and rent during home construction. Found a cute little place on the beach to rent for $300/monthly. The ocean would be our front yard. Think the kids would love it, but I'm not sure if we should move into our new home as our first impression. Again, any insight would be appreciated. We may rent and bring our dogs, and then when the home is completed move our cats. Can't wait for this part of the process to be over and we can be living in Ecuador with our ocean views and the never-ending breeze...WOOOHOOOO!!

Also had quite the experience being picked up at the airport if anyone would care to hear it. Would serve as a warning for others.
