Residency Visas

I have purchased property on the beach south of Montanita. My wife and I plus our three children will be moving there this spring. We have our passports, birth certificates and marriage certificate. I have a letter from Social Security giving me an adequate income for all of us. I prefer to apply for a retirement and dependent visas. My wife and children's birth certificates plus the marriage certificate all have apostilles from the issuing country (Trinidad). Do I need police reports for the adults and good conduct reports from school for the children? Am I missing something? What needs to be translated into Spanish before I go to the Ecuadorian Consulate in Miami?
