Meeting other expats

Hi all,

Assuming everything goes to plan I'm going to arrive in Cuenca on NYE. Accommodation for the first few nights is already booked, but as I'm travelling alone, I'm keen to meet lots of other people. If I stroll into somewhere like Inca Bar is it quite easy to get talking to other expats? Haha this probably sounds like a strange question. My only other experience of traveling is Thailand, and it was always very easy to meet people there who were in a similar boat.
