medical precautions b4 visit to ecuador

will be on the pacific coast for 2 weeks. have read that yellow fever, malaria, hepatitis a, and typhoid are present but still low chance of acquiring. is it recommended to take anti-malarial medications and get vaccinations prior to arrival?
