need for teachers in ecuador?

Good day!
I am living in the United Sates and am graduating in May with my degree in elementary education and a concentration in Spanish. I am looking to move to Ecuador sometime in September and am wondering if there is a need for english speaking teachers? I am not looking for much money; I just want to work on my Spanish, get some surfing in, and enjoy a new culture. And of course sharpen my teaching skills.
As of right now, I am looking at staying in Cuenca, but am having a hard time finding out about schools, of any kind. Any suggestions or advice would be great!
