Black Light Theatre of Prague, presenting The Flying Bicycle, on Saturday, June 11 at the Teatro Nacional Casa de la Cultura.
The company combines stark lighting effects, pantomime sketches, humor and modern music.
The Black Theatre technique is based on the idea that black is not visible on black. The actors-manipulators of various objects are dressed in black and perform in front of a black backdrop (black velvet), thus becoming invisible to the audience. The colourful objects being manipulated seem to float through the air and to live an independent existence.
