L.A. Dodgers V. Houston Astros

My post is really about the "countries" of Yunguilla and Vilcabamba, but in the interest of time I thought I would devote it to a Dodgers - Astros game. Why not? It makes as much sense.

The chick posting (Flame11) is a troll. Obviously she is dumber than a rubber tree plant, or she doesn't know counties from departments from states from provinces or from countries.

If she were an honest poster, she would have provided a bit more information about herself in her profile and her question, rather than hide behind the anonymity of a "female from the United States."

But back to the Dodgers vs. the Astros and how this fits in.

A writer wrote about Boncur's (Margarita's) inability to suffer fools. She cannot, politely. I cannot regardless - even on this forum. I will not hesitate to call them out and put them in their place for their stupidity.

In yesterday's Houston Chronicle, a reporter wrote about how a team (The Los Angeles Dodgers) that was valued 3rd highest in baseball, could possibly not meet its payroll because of mismanagement.

It seem the owners, the McCourt family, are embroiled in a messy divorce. And while he wants to keep the team, and sign a $3 billion TV deal with Fox, she wants to sell "her half" and get out from under it.

Major League Baseball is unsure how to handle the matter.

That would be all well and fine except, and again, I'm quoting from the Houston Chronicle, the McCourts took $108 million in profits over the last few years and blew it. According to her, they paid $998K PER MONTH, of which nearly $600K was to maintain 10 residences, $35K monthly to support their adult children, and $55K went to pay for facials, manicures, and pedicures.

And you will love this: THEY PAID NOTHING IN STATE OR FEDERAL INCOME TAXES!

Enter, now, the fools. The tea-baggers of the TEA Party, who don't have a pot to piss in, yet want to give those slugs a tax break. They also want to insure their kids have $33K or a thousand times more per month to blow, by doing away with the inheritance tax.

What have those owners contributed to society during this economic crises? My guess, zip, nada, rien, zilch!

Before you right-wing nuts jump on my case, I also have very strong libertarian views that form an opposition to government in general. But properly handled, there is a place for government in our society - law and order, general defense, and the protection of rights and civil liberties, among them.

And now to Flame11: The best way to get to the countries of Vilcabamba and Yunguilla from the United States is to catch a flight to Dallas-Fort Worth or Los Angeles, connect on QANTAS Airlines to Sydney. Transfer on QANTAS to their flight to Santiago. In Santiago, fly LAN to Lima. From Lima, rent a car and cross into Ecuador at Macara. From there, it's a straight shot north to Vilcabamba, and later on to Yunguilla.

Good luck, dear.
