We are making our move to Ecuador in November. We are ready and excited! Our biggest stress is bringing our beloved cat with us. I've done countless hours of research and have found many different answers. I just contacted the airline we will be flying and they will allow her on board with us, with the proper notification. I am also aware of the various health certifications, etc. that we will need to clear customs once we arrive in Ecuador. My question is whether or not we have to pay a fee once we arrive. Some are saying as much as $600, but is this only if she was traveling in cargo? Again, I've read many conflicting stories. Some say that since she will be traveling with us, it will be hassle and very little cost, if any. I would appreciate any advice, especially someone who has actually brought there pet into Quito with them on board, and specifically a cat. Thank you so much!
