Hi All,
I responded to an old post on this subject yesterday but wanted to start a new thread on the topic to see if I could get a few more responses.
While researching our potential move to Ecuador I recently stumbled upon the HIPERION report, from the Ecuador Space Progam. In a nutshell it states that Ecuador gets the most UV radiation of any place on the planet. It also talks about the dangers related to the EXTREMELY HIGH UV levels.
My question is, does everyone know this? Do people take precautions?
Is it easy to get good high level SPF sunscreen and sun protectant clothing in Ecuador? It seems like a big deal to me but some of the responses I have received make me wonder if it's not as much of a concern or threat as I perceive. The report seems pretty convincing. Here is a link. http://exa.ec/bp21/index-en.html
