From Edward B Farkas
Met with the Mayor today and, nice news, with the support of the Chiefs of the Planning, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Departments the Mayor agreed that the proposed dock construction would be counterproductive and should not proceed. He said he was in accord with our perspective (and the reasons behind that opinion). The design team working on the beach recovery were there as well.

So far, so good, Salinas Yacht Club will not be happy, in fact the Mayor is trying to leverage this to get them to actually help fund the recovery effort - nice
The proposal would have expanded the dock space for the very private Yacht Club but would have been an eyesore and create a lot more pollution among other negatives.
Ed has taken on this project and is involed now with a lot of the positive work going on here on the peninsula ~ Go Gringo Go!
