Made the move to Cuenca

Arrived with my daughter last week in Cuenca and moving into a rental apartment tomorrow. Condo here is not ready yet and it looks like another 2 months before it is done. Rental market here seems tight for prime areas so if you see something you like that is reasonably priced then I would grab it. I lost out on a nicer unit due to communication issues and it was gone in less than 24 hours.

Starting Spanish school tomorrow for 4 hours a day for 12 weeks. Haven't been in school for 26 years so this should be interesting. Looking forward to joining the community, although will only be here until the condo in Salinas is completed in 2 1/2 years.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to integrate my 17 year old daughter into the community please let me know. She is very social and is looking for friends here roughly her age. She doesn't speak much Spanish but is in school with me.
