Learning Spaqnish

We will be moving to Ecuador and currently don't speak Spanish. I got Rosetta Stone and don't care for it very much. I often learn a word on it and then look it up somewhere else and find a completely different Spanish word for what I learned. I'm not so sure I can trust Rosetta Stone. Does anyone know of a better way to learn Spanish than Rosetta Stone? Please help!
