I've tried to watch a couple of recent TV shows from the U.S. that were supposedly available online, only to receive a message that my IP address indicates I'm in EC.

Has anyone living here overcome that problem? Is there a way to "fool" CBS', ABC's and NBC's systems so that they "think" I have a U.S IP address without inviting some virus or trouble with the Ecuadorian FCC, or whoever controls the flow of media here?
