For folks who want to use their laptop but don't want to pay for a service contract or a Claro or Movistar modem, chip and bi-weekly fees, here is an alternative:

The Food Court at the Paseo mall offers free WiFi Monday through Friday. The speed is good enough for downloading and SKYPE and other Voip uses. I've found the upload speed has been more than adequate for sending large image files and website updates.

And access to N'Ice Cream for a sundae when all the work is done is a super bonus!
