Where to begin?

Being a single, older female I was at first unsure
if I should attempt to retire
abroad. I did research for about a year and decided on Equador. I was fortunate to stumble onto a place called Hotel Bonanza out side of Quito. It is much like a hacienda and very secure. I feel completely safe here. It is a family run business and the owners go out of their way to help you adjust to
Equador. They offer tours to any place in Ecuador you
want to explore. Most of the
people here stay a few days to a few months. I have decided to rent an apartment for $450/mo.
Everything is provided for
you- good quality furniture,
bedding(feather pillows, feather comforter, meals,
transportation and nicely
landscaped with lots of flowers. All your time can
be about adjusting to a new culture and language. I am working on learning enough Spanish to survive on my own someday. I go along on trips to the market and learn about new kinds of produce. Nora
cooks good and healthy meals. If you happen to be in my position, This may be
a good place to begin your life in Ecuador.
