Real climate info

Hi, All. My girlfriend and I are considering semi-retiring to Ecuador in a couple of years. We're trying to find cities that might offer part-time or freelance opportunities in computer programming or TEFL. Any recommendations for cities to look at? We're looking for someplace where we could really assimilate.

And while I'm here... I've been checking the weather and climate of some specific cities of interest on various websites. They vary wildly, one to another. They cannot all be accurate; in fact, some of them even disagree with themselves. And so, can anyone tell me the average high and low temperatures for Loja, Manta, and Portoviejo? I'm hoping to find someplace that gets decently warm at least a fair amount of the time, while avoiding places that are stiflingly hot. Does Loja ever get above room temperature? Does Manta get a cooling ocean breeze? Any info would be appreciated.
