Honest Lawyer in Quito!!

I am posting this as a service to anyone who is frustrated about trying to find a competent and honest lawyer in Quito (almost impossible to find): Her name is Sofia Altamirano and her Quito Phone Number is: (5932) 226-5551.... This is my personal story i posted as a reply to another thread....
Be very careful, the Ecuador culture in business dealing's (where cash is exchanged for a product or service) is as corrupt as one can imagine. This includes lawyer's and doctor's. I had a very serious real estate issue, and i had a very hard time finding a lawyer that was credible and honest. Most lawyer's here will tell you "Great News!! I can take your case!! Send me $4,000 and we'll get started. Really, the people here are'nt very good at hiding their corrupt intentions. I finally was able to find a lawyer woman referred on a forum such as this, that i decided to contact. Being very paranoid and skeptical about dealing with anyone in Ecuador, she convinced me over several E-mails and phone calls, that she was a competent and honest attorney.
My real estate issue required me to actually travel to Quito to meet with her, and she was able to solve a real estate issue that had been sitting dormant for almost 2 years. This transaction involved a good deal of money, and everything we did step-by- step- to resolve the issue was very open and upfront.
