Questions about the price of rent.

I wish people would quit leaving comments concerning rate of rent of homes and apartments, Do your own investigation don't depend on others, you need to go to where you are interested and look around, in Cuenca you can look in the news paper small towns you need to walk around looking for signs in window and ask locals. Prices? they are in all price ranges. I did my own research 7 years ago with only the aid of a Moon guidebook. There wasn't all these so-called relocation services etc. promoting Ecuador to people who don't know even one sentence of Spanish. Thanks to pro-ecuador.com internationalliving.com GaryScott.com and a host of others Ecuador is being overrun by people who have no business being here, and do nothing but run up the prices of rent and real estate thus hurting the Ecuadorians themselves.
