Ecuador a safehave for enemies of the U.S.

This is in response to an email newsletter, authored by domenick buonamici dated 7/6/13, in reply to a subscriber's letter to him:

https://bay172.mail.live.com/default.aspx#n=1071145731&fid=1&mid=d7f2e594-e64a-11e2-b891-00237de3fe60&fv=1

I know this will probably "kick up a lot of dust" so this is my opinion, only...let's all be respectful of everyone's opinion.

As most of you know, I am a supporter of the policies of President Correa...for the simple reason, if I was not, I would not accept his invitation to become a GUEST/RESIDENT of his country. Yes he has decided to offer asylum to Julian Assange and is in consideration of Snowden, but that is only 2 people.

Consider all of the tens of thousands of economic immigrants, from many countries, that have chosen to live in Ecuador. Apparently, the economic immigrants must be treated with satisfaction because, they can always leave.

Secondly, the U.S. has repeatedly refused to extradite the U.S. bankers, wanted on Ecuadorian criminal warrants, that allegedly stole money from Ecuador. It's called "tit for tat". (Darn U.S.banker's, they steal money from Americans and the U.S. government will not curtail them). Look at the situation with Coopera - at least the Ecuadorian government is trying to get money back to the investors and the government is giving special consideration to the smaller investors.

Thirdly, Ecuador has been much kinder to her immigrants than the U.S. has been to hers. Thank God, Ecuador does not treat her undocumented immigrants as criminals like they are treated in the U.S.

My opinion is, if you have a problem with the way the Correa administration is handling its affairs, go somewhere else...but first, ask yourself, why are YOU here in the first place, and not back in your homeland?

If you can not stand the heat of the kitchen...get out. If you are not a party to the solution, don't be a part of the problem.

By the way, when I arrived in Ecuador for the first time, it was 11:00 P.M. and I desperately needed help. Domenick's Ecuadorian girlfriend, (whom I did not know previously) got out of her bed, personally came to the hotel, let me use her computer and extended that warm and wonderful hospitality that most of us have come to love the Ecuadorian people for.
