Cedulas

We are a couple from Miami who brought all our papers we needed to get our 9I visa. all our papers were approved 2 weeks ago they contacted us by e-mail and cell phone to come in today to get our passports stamped and paper work for cedula.

The most important paper was our birth certificates. I know that someone posted that they were not requiring the birth certificate that your passport was enough proof (we are glad we had them an apostilled)

These are needed for another document which immigration fills out for you with your parent full names and we had to get notarized to present next week at Registro Civil.

I would also like to thank Dana Cameron who I consulted from Miami as to what documents I needed and always responded to my e-mails immidiately.

We did not use a facilitator since I am fluent in Spanish but you really do not need to speak spanish the immigration office here in Cuenca all speak very good english and will help you fill out the application paper.

Every one in immigration was really helpful, even today when Quito made a mistake on my Visa and we had to wait 3 hours for them to correct and e-mail paper work to them.

Good luck to all. It took us a month at the most and we came in with a 90 day visa and we had already used 30 days from previous travels to Ecuador.

If you need help you can reach me at [email protected].
