Help Dana Get Home to See Her Mom...and say goodbye

Dana Cameron... needs our help...to get back to Detroit RIGHT NOW to be with her mom... and to say the most important words any daughter can say to her mother: "I love you" while there is still time.

... and time is growing very short.

Dana´s beloved mother who is 84 years old, is in hospital, in sepsis, and her heart is failing. Her son Bobby, who left Ecuador to be grandma´s caretaker is there and his elderly uncle, a decorated WWII disabled vet and POW survivor too is at grandma´s side. But it is so important to get Dana home to Detroit so she can see her mother one last time.

Everyone knows that Dana charges very little for her assistance with visas, and that she supports her two daughters on that as well as what she makes teaching English. The funds are enough to live here frugally but there is simply not enough to pay for a plane ticket and to cover expenses to get her home right now.

She won´t reach out to our community to ask for help. She is too modest. She knows we all have comittments, needs, and are all on a budget ...but if we ALL give just a little we CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
Checking the cost of a ticket for One Person, round trip leaving Guayaquil to Detroit with less than 3 stops, in the next 48 hours the average fare is about $1700. An additional $800 to cover food and expenses while in the USA, which as we all know is NOT much. And we come up with a request for $2,500 for this GOFUNDME.
Dana needs these funds NOW! TODAY! Please, don´t hesitate!
No one knows how much longer her mom will be with us, or if and when she may go into a coma and Dana will l loose this last chance to say goodbye, to tell her what she has meant to her.
Dana´s mom raised her as a single, widowed mother of a Detroit police officer, killed from wounds sustained in the line of duty but since death was not caused in the line of duty her mother received no plice widows benefits! Her mom went back to work in the 60´s in middle America, and raised her to be the woman we know today. Strong, capable, a friend to everyone and loved by all.
We all know Dana, who has helped so many of us to make our dreams of living in Ecuador a reality. Please help make this one dream of hers come true!
