How do you spend your time?

I am curious on how those of you that have retired to Ecuador spend your time. Especially those that took an early retirement.

I am looking at renting an apartment in Cuenca or one of the other cities. Looking to be more in the "heart" of the city than on the outskirts. So no time spent on gardening, building a house, etc.

I certainly have plans and hobbies but thinking of the mid-long term I am seeing a good bit of free time in my schedule. For example, improving my Spanish will certainly take time. I have looked at volunteer opportunities. However, those that are of the greatest interest expect payment.

I am on the active side so hiking, exploring the city and country, etc are on the list. There are books and other items I am looking forward to catching up on. But I am not the type of person to sit around and read all day.

Anyway just curious how you are now using all of this free time you suddenly have.
