Preparing for container move

Hello all... We are preparing our belongings for a shipping container move. We have an Ecuadorian shipper working with us, but we are having to pack up and out of our current house in the USA 8 months before we will be ready to actually do the shipping part.. so ... we know about the inventory of every single item that goes into the container and limits etc.. what I cant seem to find is information on the acceptable wrapping of our household goods.. such as any somewhat breakable items, does anyone know if its ok to use bed sheets or towels to wrap things with or at least as a cushion in between as long as its counted on the inventory in the box? ANY useful tips for packing? Until the time gets closer our shipper will only release to us so much information, which is understandable, they have to make their money somehow and cant give it all out for free up front... We have already weighed the costs, and just have too much personal/sentimental things to leave it all behind so we are committed to this process. I say that because I see so many advise to sell it all and start anew, and im sure that works for many but not the case here. Im also disabled and have things i absolutely have to bring with me to make my daily living easier and more comfortable.... Thank you in advance for your time and any helpful advice!
