Strolling through the very well received advice regarding moving to Ecuador, I am of the opinion that Salinas is probably the right place for me. I am in the process of selling my property and moving to Ecuador (having never been before) as the sun and relatively cheap cost of living is a huge pull for me. Am a single woman moving out solo so I am desperate to make the right decision obviously. One of my concerns is noting some property buyers have been scammed by real estate agents and it's recommended to buy a property via a private seller, however if there's the best to find the property you want via a real estate agent, how does one know that it's legit? This concerns me big time - if my money is scammed then I'm done, and with my remaining money will take a flight to Switzerland to enable Euthenasia :( If any of you can please advise regarding this I'd be much appreciative. Am also considering when purchasing property say 4 bed home do you think it would be a good financial income to rent out rooms on AirB&B or such like. Basically I'd like to secure some extra income and thinking if I purchased property near the beach it would be a good pull for short time renters.
