Hello every one,we are loving our new home in Ecuador ,wexare going through the process to get our perminant residency visas finished,my visa in completed and my wife's is completed but before they give her the visa they have informed us that we must go to a meeting that they charge us 175.00 to try and prove if we are married or not..after being married for 12 years thats a bit insulting but thats how it is.just letting folks know about the new law 2 weeks on the books.apparentky im told by our lawyer they take one of us into a room and ask questions what size are hubbys shoes..what is his weak eye (if wear glasses) what type of underware does he wear? Boxers briefs? What was your first gift (bolth ways) when did you meet ect ect and 75% must match or visa refused because your not married....so if your planning on running the gauntlet of visa requirements and migranes here its time to brush up on your husbands or wifes vital stats you will be getting a test later.sadly its so insulting its almost funny.if i had married a 20 year old ecuadorian lady who only wanted my green card i could understand it but... Hope this helps every one as if you plan on moving here to start a new life as we did you do have to deal with it.
