Hi all,
I'm a 23 yr. old female who is moving to Cairo around january, and I'm wondering about experiencing Cairo nightlife as a woman. I'll be honest...here I like drink a lot, dance a lot, and basically stay out all night. I realize that this won't be an option in Cairo, but what are the fine lines not to be crossed?
What is an appropriate way for females to dress when going out for dinner, etc.? Is it a good idea to go out in the evening without a male escort? I have very blonde hair and wouldn't mind wearing a scarf- how do Egyptians view this: as me being respectful, or as playing me playing dress-up?
Obviously I am aware that there are significant cultural differences between my city and Cairo, but perhaps some of you could give me some more insight.
Thank you!
