newbie needs info relocating to cairo

Hello everyone, i would really appreciate sum help regarding relocating to cairo.

im from cape town and will be moving in september with my husband (new job: cairo) and 4month old baby.

I have a few questions...

--any tips on where to find nice halaal butchers?

--i'v been warned off driving in cairo, is it very hard getting things done with 4month baby. how much will a maid/assistant cost?

--is it possible to navigate around cairo with a pram of will carrier be better?

--do they have women only swimming facilities?

is heliopolis ok as residential area?

which area would you recomend? husbands job is in nasr city which i have learnd is quite busy...is there a nice area nearby. i know that ppls definition of nice is varied so thats vague question...but am open to possiblilities. rent bracket is 2500egp-3200egp for 2bedroom apartment. any ideas?

i know this is a load to respond to. any help i get woiuld be MUCH MUCH APPRECIATED.

i am incredably excited to be moving, to experience all cairo has to offer i know its a change but am hopeful that will meet new people and learn new culture...insha allah
