I am considering a move to Cairo with my wife and infant daughter since my company is setting up an office in the new Smart Village, and we thought it would be a good cultural experience.
However when i was "googling" life in Cairo i came across an old article in the NY times, talking about how local islamist groups resent expatriate presence in their country, and target them. (i.e throwing acid on woman etc et)
Is this the case? Do the local resent expatriate presence? Is there a rise of islamic extremism in Egypt?
