I have been searching online quite a bit, and have seen hotels for as little as only $100 US per month. But I also keep seeing people mention renting an apartment for $400 US per month! That is more then I pay here in Canada. Is there such thing as low cost houses or apartments that one can rent? I think I would get very tired of hotels after awhile. I don't need anything fancy, but would need air conditioning LOL.
I will be on a budget, and preffer to not overspend anyways, I would rather spend the spare money on traveling, since I wouldn't be sitting at home much anyways.
One other question, is if it is possible to hire people as guides that also have vehicles? I really hate to drive, enough that I would be more then happy to pay for this. I am thinking of someone daily for the first month to help me to get to know the area. I'm sure this would cost a bit, but would be worth it in the end as they could show me the best deals on housing, groceries, and so on, as well as help me get around to the outer areas.
