After a 3-year absence, we are moving back to Cairo (yeah!). Things have changed, I understand - we used to ship cartons of breakfast cereal and other things hard to obtain there (through a coop). Now, it seems that all contractors can shop in CandyLand (the US commissary's convenience store). Darn. The kids used to love the arrival of boxes.
Other than breakfast cereal and a few "health food" items, we used to live off the local food - looking forward to doing that again.
Anyway. we'll be there after January 19 - folks who are coming over after that should feel free to contact us for relocation help and advice. We're familiar with both CAC and AUC, and did a fair amount of traveling, so we're full of advice. We're also glad to have a visitor or two come by.
Lastly, since I'm leaving my job as a chemistry teacher in a highly respected school system here, if you happen to come over and need science tutors for your kids (or yourself) let me know. I'll be at liberty for a while and will be glad to work with some students again.
