Bringing cat to Egypt from US

Hi everyone,

I recently relocated to Cairo from Washington, DC. I will be traveling back to DC to take care of loose ends and bring back some personal items to Cairo. I'd like to bring my cat back to Cairo with me.

I know he has to be micro-chipped, have certain forms, etc, but any other information would be extremely helpful. I've exhausted myself searching on the web and seem to find only outdated info.

Moreover, I will only be in DC for about one week - is this enough time to realistically take care of all required forms?

My cat is 2 years old, healthy, and quite skinny, so I'm hoping he will be able to come in the cabin with me.

Any tips/advice?
