CLASSICAL MUSIC ORCHESTRA LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS

NEW CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA LOOKING FOR MEMBERS (of all instruments needed: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion)

We are recruiting new members for an amateur/semi-professional Orchestra at El Sawy (Culture Wheel) in Zamelek. We need instruments in all parts (strings, winds, and brass). Rehearsals are starting on Saturday 9th October.

It is run as a workshop from October to January rehearsing weekly every Saturday between 10.00 and 12.00 a.m. We will play music by Haendel, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Sibelius and other classical composers. Bring your instrument and a pencil to write and get ready to play.

Duration of session 2 hours
Session Time Saturdays between 10.00 and 12.00 a.m.
Workshop goals: Weekly Performance of Classical Music for the preparation of a repertoire of pieces that will be played at the end of the workshops in a concert. Attendance is key for this workshop; you are expected to attend at least 12 sessions to play in the final concert.

Workshop content We will play pieces by Haendel, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Sibelius.
