I am an experienced teacher of Modern Standard and Colloquial Arabic and have been teaching Arabic privately to students for the last seven years. I am familiar with a range of course books, including the Samia Louis series for colloquial Arabic, which I know from the core course material used at ILI (IH Cairo ILI is part of the International House Worldwide Organization (IHWO), which now has 150 schools worldwide.) for teaching Egyptian Arabic. In addition to teaching, I write a regular series of Arabic related topics in Egyptian Arabic for BCA magazine in Cairo. As another outlet for helping foreigners learn Arabic, and at the same time understand our culture, this has proved particularly satisfying.
In parallel to my teaching work, I have graduated from the Open University faculty of Dar al Ouloum Cairo University (Egypt) in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies.
