I'm looking for some help please! As per the clichés, I was in Egypt in April, met a man, I've been back to spend some more time with him, and, much to my surprise, we seem to be very well suited. I've read the horror stories; he's not getting any money over and above what I would normally spend on dating, and I'm not going to marry him so that he can get a visa; I just don't know him well enough to even consider marriage, but I do want to spend more time with him so I can figure out what I want. It seems to me the safest way to get to know him is to do it here in the UK. He's a diver, and wants to save for his next diving course, which he could also do if he came over for six months and was able to work while he was here. What problems are we going to run into when applying for Visas? I have dual nationality (UK and Irish), could we apply to either for a visa for him? Any advice would be appreciated - many thanks in advance.
