Need help

I have been living in El Salvador for 1 year, I came here with my husband when he got deported. I am looking for a little help in finding a way to live a little better. We have a little "tienda" and it consumes our time but pays nothing. I would like to work but I have no work permit and am struggling to get a temporary resident card here.Immigration has turned out to be very difficult but that is another story. Does anyone know of a place I could work and where would be a better place for us to live that would not cost too much. We live in a cheap area now but safety is an issue.
