Hello Expats!
I know this page is for expats but I really need some help answering some questions regarding transportation.
I will be visiting this November and have rented a house in La Costa del Sol, La Libertad. My family lives in San Salvador but I wanted to stay on the beach.
They are really concerned about driving around anywhere around the country and insist that I hire a driver, someone they know and trust (whom we have not found yet) rather than me driving myself, wife, and both our mothers.
I trust that what they are telling me is true and it can be dangerous but I also think maybe they are being a bit over protective so I'm looking for a 3rd party opinion.
What do you guys think? Do I need to spend my entire vacation living in constant fear?
