Tentative immigrant

Hi,

I am a 58 year old British NHS trained Paramedic in receipt of a pension in the region of $30000 Fijian per annum.

What are the real prospects of gaining employment:
a) at my age?
b) in my field?

I understand the ambulance service is run by St John - I have yet to contact them for information - but I thought I'd ask those with migrant experience.
